Dear OMNP readers,
We’re relauching the site as OMNP Arts (www.omnparts.com), to add a Salon of select Old Masters for sale for a limited period. We hope that in doing so, we can provide you with an enhanced experience of the Old Masters niche.
It’s one thing to shed light on how intriguing and great these guys and their works are, but to extend our insight to something you can own and bring into your home will bring about a whole new level of appreciation.
How, for example, might you imagine the scene inside the perfume shop where Francisco Goya unveiled his “Caprichos” series in 1799?
How did Hendrick Goltzius’ horrid injury as a boy propel him to become a draughtsman virtuoso?
Viewing masterworks by both artists in the Salon makes these questions all the more vivid and compelling.
They will be explored further on January 6, when the Salon (www.omnparts.com/salon), debuts with a group of prints highlighting the work of Goya, and the circle of Goltzius –one of art history’s most underappreciated giants.
Check back with the Salon each Thursday thereafter throughout the month, when we will release new selections that span the spectrum of the Old Masters genre, including works by their Contemporary descendants.
Exciting times ahead..thank you for your continued interest and support.
